Presentation of our work at the “International Society of Posture and Gait research conference

One of the unique characteristics of the COCARE system is that it includes a novel assessment system with physical and cognitive tests measuring, for example, static balance, coordinated stability, reaction time, and inhibition. In the COCARE project we also wanted to investigate whether these novel cognitive-motor assessments are able to distinguish between fallers and non-fallers since sensitive assessment tools to detect a person's risk of falling are crucial to be able to initiate an intervention in time.

The results of a preliminary analysis were very positive, which is why we had the great opportunity to present our research at the prestigious “International Society of Posture and Gait Research world conference” (ISPGR) held in Brisbane in July 2023.

The other conference attendees showed huge interest in this topic, and we received very positive and valuable feedback. We are looking to have a deeper look into this topic and to present the results here and in scientific papers.
